OFSTED & SIAMS
Ofsted
Winford CofE Primary School was inspected by Ofsted in January 2025. The school’s last inspection was in June 2023 and the most recent inspection was under the new framework in which Ofsted no longer give one-word effectiveness judgements.
It was really positive to read the inspector’s comments on the nurturing environment for the children “The relationships between staff and pupils are warm. Pupils enjoy school….they are happy and safe.”
It was also identified that pupils with additional needs were well-supported with their learning: “Staff carefully consider the requirements of pupils with SEND. They adapt their delivery of the curriculum effectively so that pupils access their learning with success. This ensures equal opportunity for all pupils to develop a broad body of knowledge.”
The report also confirms areas that need further attention around curriculum implementation. The reports recognises the changes and developments that have been made at the school since June 2023 and school staff, Governors and colleagues within the Central Team at LSP will all continue to work together to address these.

SIAMS
Church of England schools like ours are inspected on rotation with an inspection called SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and. Methodist Schools) and they visit to make judgements on how the school performs in areas such as:
- Vision and Leadership.
- Wisdom, Knowledge and Skills.
- Character Development: Hope, Aspiration and Courageous Advocacy.
- Community and Living Well Together.
- Dignity and Respect.
- The impact of collective worship.
- The effectiveness of religious education.
They are interested in the overall performance of the school but in the context of its vision, values and Christian underpinnings. Below is our most recent inspection from 2015 where we were awarded a good outcome.
